Interval Running Workout

If your looking to stay in shape or increase your fitness level this winter, here's a treadmill interval running workout you can incorporate into your weekly training routine.


Treadmill Interval Running Workout #1

  • Walk 1 minute @ 3.5 mph

  • Run :30 seconds @ 6.5 mph then rest :15 seconds

  • Run 1 minute @ 6.5 mph then rest :30 seconds

  • Run 1 minute :30 seconds @ 7.5 mph then rest :45 seconds

  • Run 2 minutes @ 7.5 mph then rest :45 seconds

  • Run 2 minutes @ 8.5 mph then rest 1 minute

  • Run 1 minute :30 seconds @ 8.5 mph then rest 1 minute

  • Run 1 minute @ 8.5 mph then rest :45 seconds

  • Run :30 seconds @ 9 mph

  • Walk 1 minute @ 3.5 mph


Speeds may need to be adjusted to better acomodate your individual fitness level.
